PENTWATER — Sarah Visscher started her path to natural health by making her own elderberry syrup as a cold and flu preventive. Friends asked to purchase the syrup which motivated her to start a Facebook page and expand to more products.
To date, Sarah also makes soy candles, beeswax lip balm, and organic vanilla extract. Gallons of kombucha sit fermenting on her countertop for her family to enjoy. Sarah is passionate about making her own butter and yogurt, and she wants to empower others to make natural food and products at home.

Frustrated with the lack of depth in her pastel paintings, Carol Marshall decided to incorporate strips of leather and fell in love. She considers her technique “painting with fabric” and enjoys exploring new sewing styles and textiles. Recently, she started printing her art quilts on canvas bags to provide a more affordable option for customers to enjoy her pieces. She will be selling the bags and providing art quilt classes at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. You can learn more about Carol and her art quits at facebook.com/yannidesigns.
